非官方固件GEN系列 – 是PSPGEN制作組改良的PSP固件系統, 也就是破解系統. 若M33用家因Sony封鎖了非官方固件5.00 M33的系統而不能登入PlayStation Store, 用家可選用此GEN非官方固件, GEN系統現在還能連上PlayStation Store.

你所需要的:
- 一台已運行了非官方固件 5.50 GEN-A 的PSP-1000或PSP-2000 v1或v2.
- 不要嘗試在PSP-3000或用TA-088v3底版的PSP.

PSP 非官方固件 5.50 GEN-B 更新:
- 修正VSH選單, 現可自定啟動/關閉.
- 按Select鍵可選擇進recovery修復模式, VSH修復選單, 或沒指令 (方便利用PSP/PS3 RemotePlay的玩家).
- 固件系統更新連至GEN網絡 (像M33的一樣).
- **能運行Evangelion Jo game(此游戲會先檢查固件才會運行).
- VSH選單新增了Pandora潘多拉電池制作項目和關機設置選擇項目.
- 新增Flash1安全設置防止錯誤格式化flash1.
- 能使用PlayStation Store和Remote Play.

** Evangelion: Jo 游戲的破解系統檢測程序不太穩定, 但亦能順利運行游戲. 在游戲開始時即時按三角形鍵和圓形鍵.

網路上流傳PlayStation Store 封鎖非官方固件5.00 M33的系統登入; 但5.50 GEN-A仍能登入, PSP-Hacks官方英文網站的greg查證後得出以下結論:
